State Senator Rick Edmonds today announced the formation of his Finance Leadership Committee, underscoring strong financial positioning and broad regional backing for his campaign in Louisiana’s 6th U.S. Congressional District.
Composed of the Capital Region’s highly respected business, civic, and community leaders, the committee’s launch signals deep institutional support and a solid fundraising foundation for a successful campaign.
To lead the campaign’s aggressive fundraising effort, the campaign has tapped Christina “CC” Cobaugh of The Fieldstone Group to serve as finance director. Cobaugh brings more than a decade of experience in political fundraising and campaign finance, having advised and executed fundraising strategies for Republican candidates, committees, and issue advocacy organizations at every level of government. Her experience includes the Republican National Committee, the Trump Administration, and numerous federal and state campaigns. Her expertise in donor relations, finance strategy, and campaign infrastructure will help ensure the campaign is well-positioned to capitalize on its growing momentum and build the resources necessary to compete and win.
The Finance Leadership Committee will be chaired by prominent Baton Rouge real estate developer, philanthropist, and civic leader Mike Wampold.
“We are going to ensure that Senator Edmonds has more than enough resources to run a highly successful, winning race,” said Chairman Mike Wampold. “The Capital Region needs a proven, effective conservative who understands our unique economic priorities. This committee is fully committed to delivering the financial strength needed to put Rick in Washington.”
The newly formed committee represents a cross-section of the region’s top job creators and economic drivers. The members of the Edmonds for Congress Finance Leadership Committee will initially include:
- Scott Ballard, owner of Ballard Brands, LLC, chairman of LABI, and former chairman of the LSU Board of Supervisors
- Jason DeCuir, co-owner and partner of Advantous Consulting, a leading multi-state tax services firm, and a founding partner of Advantous Law, LLC.
